REPORTS TO: Director of Operations/Accounting and Finance

JOB SUMMARY:

As the organization continues to grow, we are looking for an Accounting/Operations Associate to add to our growing team! The individual in this role will help support the firm's finance and operations with a focus on the administration and accounting of the firm. In this role you will be working closely with the CEO and Director of Operations.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support accounting and finance function of the company
Oversee the firm's payables, receivables, tax and monthly, quarterly and yearly close of accounting records
Assist with the firm's regulatory filings
Maintain required records, reports, and files in an organized manner

Verify that transactions and processes comply with financial policies and procedures
Respond to billing questions and concerns from vendors and clients
Maintain the general ledger, updating vendor files and paperless backup
Provide administrative support to ensure effective and efficient office operations
Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years of profession experience
Expert in Excel and proficient in Microsoft Office
NetSuite a plus, but not necessary
Knowledge of tax concepts is a plus
Good time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues
Effective communication, including speaking, writing and active listening
Able to give and receive feedback and constructive criticism from a variety of channels
Great strategic planning and problem-solving skills
Methodical about analyzing processes and systems to fully understand their functions
Proactive research skills used in seeking out opportunities to advance and improve the organization
